Abstract
In today’s knowledge-driven economy, human capital is a critical component for both individual success and organizational competitiveness. As technology continues to reshape various sectors, the need for effective career guidance and counselling becomes increasingly paramount. Career guidance and counselling (CGC) plays a crucial role in human capital development by equipping individuals with the knowledge, skills, and self-awareness necessary to navigate their career paths effectively. This process, extending beyond simply choosing a job, focuses on fostering individual growth and enabling individuals to reach their full potential. The digitization of career guidance and counselling has emerged as a significant trend in recent years, driven by advancements in technology and shifting labour market demands. This transformation has facilitated greater accessibility, personalization, and efficiency in delivering career support services to individuals. Digitization offers immense potential to revolutionize career guidance and counselling, enabling us to build a more inclusive, responsive, and impactful human capital development ecosystem. In this discussion, we explore the various facets of digitization in this field, including online career counselling platforms, the role of artificial intelligence, and the implications for practitioners and clients alike. By focusing on accessible platforms, personalized learning tools, and data-driven insights, we can empower individuals to navigate their career journeys with confidence and reach their full potential. Career guidance and counselling (CGC) play a vital role in supporting individuals in making informed career decisions.
